Embarking on an interviewing journey with Coactive involves a meticulously designed and globally-aligned hiring and interview process, crafted by our recruiting team. From the initial application to the final onsite meeting, each stage is thoughtfully curated to ensure the right individuals join our dynamic company.

1. Recruiter Phone Screen:

Your candidacy begins with a thorough application review, conducted either through proactive outreach or our Careers page. If alignment is found, a 30-minute informal phone call with a recruitment team member provides an opportunity for us to share insights about Coactive and the available position, learn more about you, and address any initial queries you may have.

2. Hiring Manager Review/Screen:

Upon identifying a potential fit, the next step would involve the recruiter presenting you to the hiring manager. Subsequently, a 30-minute phone or video call would take place, where the hiring manager delves into your relevant experience, poses behavioral questions, and addresses role-specific inquiries.

3. Remote Coding Exercise/Skills Assessment*: 

Following the hiring manager screen, we move on to assessing skills relevant to the job, which may include technical evaluations, as well as an exploration of soft skills, such as writing and communication.

4. "Onsite" Interviews/Additional Coding Exercises (Final Round):

Pending successful completion of our skills assessment interview, you will be extended an invitation to meet more of the Coactive team at one of our offices in Montreal, Quebec or San Jose, California. This final stage, conducted in person, will likely include additional technical exercises, a system design coding test*, as well as lunch with the team and a meeting with our co-founders. The aim of the onsite is to allow us to further assess your technical skills, while allowing you the in-person opportunity to gauge your alignment with our values and working principles. An agenda will be provided in advance. 

*Structured Interviewing applies to certain technical positions only.
